At what stage of cooking should fleur de sel and salt flakes be added?

Fleur de Sel and virgin sea salt Flakes are gourmet finishing salts. They should be added right at the moment of plating, while the food is still hot, or directly at the table. In this way, their crunchy pyramidal crystals do not dissolve in cooking broths, but melt delicately on the palate, releasing their mineral nuances.

Does it contain any artificial additives, bleaching agents, or E-535 anti-caking agents?

No. Our virgin sea salt and fleur de sel are 100% natural, organic, and free from chemical additives, preservatives, artificial anti-caking agents (such as sodium ferrocyanide E-535), or industrial bleaching agents. They are dried solely by the sun and the Levante wind in the Bay of Cádiz Natural Park.

How are the purity and mineral richness of fleur de sel guaranteed?

Atlantic water enters the salt pans through estuaries and marshes that act as natural decanting biofilters. Furthermore, Fleur de Sel crystallises floating on the surface through solar evaporation and is hand-harvested daily before sinking to the bottom. All production holds CAAE organic certification and undergoes rigorous periodic testing by an independent laboratory.

Why is unrefined virgin sea salt healthier than common table salt?

Unlike common refined table salt (which is practically pure sodium chloride after aggressive chemical processes), virgin sea salt and fleur de sel naturally provide bioavailable trace elements and essential minerals such as magnesium, potassium, calcium, and iodine. Because they have a greater natural aromatic intensity, a smaller amount of salt is required to enhance the flavour of food.
